New Placer mining claim at Twin Creek

Claim 321387

The area of Manson Creek and Germansen Landing, BC. The size of the tract is about 120 acres, 500 mts x 1000 mts. Easy to reach, located on good bush road between Manson Creek and Takla Landing, about 30 miles from Manson Creek where you can get groceries, postal, supplies & gas.

Former owner says he tested at a gram of gold in 1/4 yard of material. He was a serious gold seeker. We are not. However, within one week we were finding nice nuggets. He showed us a recently found nugget of 6.3 gm. He sold out due to age. We acquired it in 2004 and now, due to health are unable to keep it up.

Included in the claim is a fully equipped cook shack 12' x 36', containing gas refrig, combo wood/gas cookstove and gas lights all in good working order. Has all dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, etc. No inside plumbing, but the glacial water of Twin Creek is pristine, we drink right out of the creek, which flows through the claim. There are two waterfalls at the high end of the claim. Outbldgs are a tool shed, outhouse, and two renovated log sleeping cabins. The cabins are furnished with beds, tables & chairs and misc furn. Also a good fertile garden plot. This gold camp is ready to go, just bring food.

The Omineca region is known as a placer gold bearing area which had a lot of mining activity during the Gold Rush. At one time there was lots of hydraulicking here, but it is a huge claim and most of it is unworked. This claim has produced a lot of gold over a lot of years. There are quite a few people holding claims in the area. And since we've owned it, two big commercial gold camps have started in the immediate area.

Price $60000.00 Can

PLACER MINING PROPERTY

1000m by 500m placer claim on Germansen River. Old  McCorkell Bros. hydraulic property worked for 13 years then closed in 1942 because of WWII hasn’t been mined since. Deep tertiary channel requiring large equipment, 25oz nugget found on the property in 1930’s. The average width of the channel is 90 - 100 meters, the average depth of the pay above bedrock is 8 - 9 meters. This is a well proven claim and has produced much gold over the years, in the past it was the second largest operation in the Omenica mining district.. In 1994 one small virin area of less than 200yds was washed to produce over 2lbs of coarse gold. The virgin area is large enough to last many more years with millions of yards of pay material.

The property was subleased to Mikey T Mines for testing the summer of 2010. Unfortunately only about 1 week work was done on the claim during which 150 yards of material was tested. These tests performed on the side edge of the old hydraulic pit were disappointing. Two test pits were attempted attempting to find the face or where the hydraulic operation of McCorkells quit. One of these was too far out and showed only a worked area, the other showed a rim of the channel.
